Orbit Vendors
What this page is — the vendor records: the suppliers side of the Customer Relationship category.
What it is for — maintaining suppliers once, so both Inventory purchasing and Resolve vendor contracts can use the same rows.
The problem it solves — a vendor defined in one place rather than retyped in each module that needs one. Most projects show this screen empty, and that is normal — this page explains why, and why the empty state is worth reading.

1. What a vendor is for
The empty state says it best:
No vendors yet. Vendors added here become available to purchasing and Resolve vendor contracts.
So a vendor record is shared configuration, not a CRM record in the sense a contact is. It is consumed by two other modules.

2. Project-scoped, like customers
Vendors read project_vendors, so the selected project filters this screen despite the /org/ route.
Most projects have none — which is why Figure 1 is the empty state rather than a populated list.
Vendors tend to be created on whichever project owns purchasing. If you expect vendors and see none, check the project chip before concluding the data is missing.
