The public booking page
What this page is — a guide to the booking page as the person booking sees it. If you are an administrator setting one up, start at share and embed.
What it is for — choosing a day, choosing a time, and leaving your details, in three steps.
The problem it solves — settling a meeting time without a chain of emails.
Route: /public/calendar/<slug> · No sign-in required.
1. The three steps
| Step | You do |
|---|---|
| Date | Pick a day. Only days the organisation offers are selectable |
| Time | Pick from the free slots on that day |
| Details | Give your name and email, and anything else asked for |
The sidebar tracks where you are, and a completed step gets a tick.
2. Choosing a date
Days in the past, and days the organisation does not work, cannot be chosen. Use the ‹ and › arrows to move between months.
Selecting a day with no free time left will simply offer no slots at the next step — try another day.
3. Choosing a time
Free times are grouped into Morning, Afternoon and Evening. A group with nothing free says so rather than disappearing.
Above the slots, the page confirms the agent you are booking with and the date you chose.
The times on this page are shown in your own timezone, and the page does not display a timezone anywhere.
If the organisation you are booking with is in a different country, the time you pick will not read the same to them. A 9:00 am appointment in their timezone can appear here as an early-morning or late-evening slot.
Confirm the time in the notes, or in your confirmation email, if you are booking across timezones.
4. Leaving your details
The last step asks for your name and email, both required, and whatever else the organisation has chosen to ask — often a phone number and a note about what you would like to cover.
Your email is how you are recognised: booking twice with the same address links both bookings to you.
5. After you book
You will see a confirmation, and the organisation receives the booking immediately. If they have invitations switched on you will get one by email or WhatsApp.
To change or cancel, contact the organisation — this page books, it does not manage.
6. Don't confuse this with…
| An account | Booking does not create a login. There is nothing to sign in to |
| The organisation's own calendar | You see free times, never their events |
7. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| No days can be selected | The organisation offers no availability in that month. Try the next one |
| A day is selectable but has no times | Everything on that day is taken, or outside their hours |
| The times look far too early or too late | See the warning in §3 — they are in your timezone |
| The page will not submit | Name and email are required |
