Calendar views
What this page is — the four ways a calendar can show its events, and when each is useful.
What it is for — reading a calendar. Month to plan, week to see a working day's shape, day for a back-to-back schedule, list to read the details without hovering over anything.
The problem it solves — a month grid is the wrong tool for a day with six appointments, and a day view is the wrong tool for planning a quarter. Each view answers a different question.

1. The four views

Month, week and day are buttons above the grid. List is the right-hand half of the Calendar / List toggle in the page header, next to the fullscreen and share buttons. They look like separate controls because they are.
A calendar opens in the view its template nominates — see calendar templates. Changing view does not change that default.
2. Month
Best for planning. A day with more events than fit shows a +N more link.
3. Week
The whole day is shown, midnight to midnight, so a working day sits in the middle of a tall column. Events that overlap are drawn beside each other.
4. Day
One column, one day. Best when appointments are back to back.
5. List
Events grouped by date, each with its time, title and assignee — readable without opening anything.
The list shows a range you choose from the filter at its top right: This Week, This Month, Next 3 Months or All Upcoming. It opens on This Month.
This range is independent of wherever the month, week or day grid was pointing. Moving the grid to next month and switching to the list will still show this month until you change the range.

8. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| The grid is empty | There are no events in the period shown. Use ‹ › or today |
| The list shows nothing | Its range is set to a period with no events — try All Upcoming |
| Events look like they are at the wrong time | Check the calendar's timezone — see getting started |
