The calendar dashboard

What this page is — the list of every calendar in the current project, and the four things you can do to one without opening it.

What it is for — finding a calendar, seeing how busy it is, and reaching its settings, resources or public link in one click.

The problem it solves — once an organisation runs more than two or three calendars, "which one has the site visits in it?" becomes a real question. The dashboard answers it at a glance, with each calendar's template, event count and allocated people on its card.

1. What a card tells you

A single calendar card with its name, template, resource avatars, event count and four action buttons numbered one to five — Figure 2 — One calendar card.

Pip	What it is
1	The calendar's name. Below it, in smaller type, the template it was created from
2	Edit — opens the settings drawer
3	Manage resources — who events can be assigned to
4	Share & embed — appears only when a public booking page is switched on
5	Deactivate — or Activate, when the calendar is off

The card also shows the people allocated to the calendar as avatars, the date it was last updated, and its event count.

A PUBLIC badge marks a calendar whose booking page is switched on.

2. The four actions

Each button appears only if you hold its permission, so a card may show fewer than four.

3. Step by step

Set the project chip to the project whose calendars you want.
Click a card to open the calendar.
Use the buttons on the card for settings, resources, sharing or the on/off switch.
New Calendar creates one — see create a calendar.

5. Deactivating a calendar

Deactivating keeps the calendar and its events but takes it out of everyday use. Reactivate it from the same button.

7. Troubleshooting

Symptom	Cause
The list is empty	No project is selected, or the project has no calendars yet
A calendar you expected is missing	The chip is on a different project
No Share & embed button	That calendar has no public booking page switched on
A dashboard link opens someone else's project	Expected — see the overview. Link to the calendar instead
